Chris Brace

Chris Brace is an associate professor of Radiology and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin — Madison, USA. He holds a PhD in electrical engineering with an emphasis in applied physics and medical imaging. His current research focuses on the development of interventional oncology and image-guided therapies, particularly microwave tissue heating, medical device design, biophysics investigation, and computational techniques. He has authored more than 100 publications and book chapters and is a frequent presenter at international meetings. He teaches courses the courses “Introduction to Energy-Tissue Interactions” and “Biomedical Engineering Design” at UW-Madison. He was a co-founder of Neuwave Medical (now owned by Ethicon) and remains an industry consultant on energy-delivery devices.
